Wasing Park Wedding // Paul & Danielle
Wasing Park
Despite being my first time at Wasing Park, I quickly fell in love with the place. Maybe it was the sunshine and the warm September air, maybe it was that idyllic wedding barn setting refined to a tee, or maybe it was the infectiously laid back and happy mood that Paul & Danielle each oozed from the start. Either way, I was instantly at ease.
Wedding Preparations
Danielle was getting ready in the honeymoon suite when I arrived. The honeymoon suite there is home to the largest bed I’ve ever seen! Despite being the size of several double beds, it didn’t cramp the huge open space of the converted barn that it was in. With the natural light flooding in and the original rafters on proud display, I couldn’t have asked for more.
Wedding Ceremony
While Danielle and her bridesmaids were getting ready, Paul had been relaxing in the company of his guests outside. It’s rare to get the opportunity to wed outdoors here in the UK, due to the drastically unpredictable weather changes. Out of the few outdoor weddings I photographed this year in the UK, Danielle and Paul had by far the best weather which complimented the beautiful setting of Wasing Park perfectly.
Wedding Reception
With the champagne flowing, the guests gathered, canapés served and music filling the air it was time for the new Mr & Mrs Mason to enjoy the company of their loved ones.
The Wedding Photos
One thing I always love about being a wedding photographer, is taking the couple aside on their own for 20 minutes to shoot some photos of just the two of them. It allows a little breathing space to try different things without the distractions of the rest of the wedding day. Paul and Danielle warmed straight into it with very little coaxing, they were naturals in front of the camera. But I don’t need to tell you that, you can see for yourself in the photos…
Big Love
